Work Packages :
This module will define the structural elements of ΣΕΛΑΣ, the technical requirements and the way in which they interact with each other. Specific usage scenarios will be developed that will include pilot applications as well as applications that will be simulated
In this work package a feasibility study of the ΣΕΛΑΣ system will be implemented in existing infrastructure of EGNATIA ODOS.
In the WP3, the design and development of the modern PV collectors will be installed in the Egnatia Motorway infrastructure. The performance will be studied under different lighting and temperature conditions (simulations and actual measurements) and the selection and installation plan of the PV collectors will be determined with the optimum mounting geometry. Finally, an innovative self-cleaning mechanism will be implemented.
In the WP4, forecasting, artificial intelligence and analytical systems (with emphasis on automated decision making) will be developed and developed with 3 objectives:
- Immediate implementation in specific use scenarios to be conducted in the WP7.
- Simulation of future scenarios including electric cars and smart lighting on motorways.
- Error forecasting through data mining and mechanical learning methods
In the WP5 further storage systems for PV power will be developed and developed. The design of the storage system will be based on reliability in difficult environmental conditions.
This section will perform the tasks of completing the respective subsystems of ΣΕΛΑΣ as well as the corresponding tests for the evaluation of its proper operation.
This module will develop the specific usage scenarios defined in the WP1 and a thorough assessment of the technologies, applications and interdisciplinary infrastructures described in WP1, WP2, WP3, WP4 and WP5.
